Direct Debit
Want to save time, money and avoid stress?

Direct Debit service enables you to make different types of transfers:

1. FIXED AMOUNT TRANSFERS:
This type of transfer is made for month to month fixed amount utility payments such as DSL internet service, insurance premiums, cable TV or water supply.

During the registration process you have to indicate the amount, frequency and period of transfers to be made.
For example: a customer gives a standing order to TBC bank to transfering 25$ on the 15th of each month for 2 years to the insurance company to cover the cost of the car insurance policy.

Even though GEL transfers are available to any direction, USD transfers are available only to the certain companies.
For more detailed information please, contact TBC Bank

2. VARIABLE AMOUNT TRANSFERS:
You do not need to specify a particular amount to be transferred monthly, neither do you point the exact period. The bank itself will "ascertain" the debts by means of an electronic bill obtained from the utility company. These kinds of transfers will always be performed in GEL. Payments will be permanently made until you cancel the Direct Debit service.
A good example is the payment for utility company Telasi - electricity fees differ every month and respectively, the bank transfers various amounts from the customer's account.

How it works?
Transfers will always be made by the bank on time. The only thing you need to do is to have enough funds on your bank accounts at the transfer date!

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN THERE ARE NOT SUFFICIENT FUNDS ON YOUR ACCOUNTS?

If you do not have sufficient funds on your account for the due date, the transfer will not be performed. For example, if your arrears for Telasi makes up 30 Lari and you have only 10 Lari on your account, transfer will not be accomplished.

At the end of each day the bank will check the remainder on your account. As soon as you deposit or transfer the relevant amount to your account, the bank will automatically make your transfer

In order to avoid cutting electricity, phone services and some other similar problems, always keep on your account sufficient funds for automatic transfers!

HOW TO REGISTER FOR DIRECT DEBIT?

First of all you need to open a current account in TBC bank. If you already have such an account, then you will only need to fill in an application form at any TBC Bank branch. In the application you must indicate the names of those companies in favour of which you want to carry out automatic transfers and the necessary parameters for identifying your transfer to these companies - such as a subscriber's number in case of Telasi and Tbilgazi.

  • If the Direct Debit order is not performed because of insufficient funds on the account or any other client’s reason when performing fixed transfers (for instance, performing automatic transfers on the specific date of each month), the bank will attempt to perform the order on each following day until the next month’s fixed date;
  • If the date of the automatic transfer is a holiday or weekend, the bank will perform the transfer in accordance with the above stated terms.
